Buckwheat is a crop that is not widely planted in Australia and is 100% dependent on bees for pollination. It produces fascinating honey with a pungent, earthy aroma. It has a bit dry and earthy aftertaste that’s not for the fainthearted.
This rare Australian honey is somewhat sweet, dark caramel-like, with a robust punch. It’s one of the darkest honey and it has a strong flavor, looking and tasting nothing like common honey.
BENEFITS: Buckwheat honey does contain more iron, magnesium, zinc, and copper than most honey varieties.
Dark honey like buckwheat and manuka have been scientifically shown to contain more antioxidants and macronutrients than lighter varieties.
High levels of polyphenols, make buckwheat honey a good weapon against high cholesterol and high blood pressure, cardiovascular diseases, and anemia. And the antioxidants work to fight the damage that free radicals do to the body over time by boosting the immune system. That makes buckwheat honey a regularly-used treatment for gastric distress, infections.

I usually only eat raw or manuka honey but this Buckwheat Honey is thick, rich, and dark golden. It has a strong, deep malty flavour and is absolutley delicious! It will be a staple in my cupboard from now on!

Be Bold Buckwheat Honey
Delighted to try this deliciously different honey. It has a dark golden almost golden syrup colour and appearance. It has a malt flavour that is just delicious. Pleased I bought two jars as I’ve noticed that it is a limited edition. Well worth trying this Australian product … it won’t disappoint.
