Buckwheat is a crop that is not widely planted in Australia and is 100% dependent on bees for pollination. It produces fascinating honey with a pungent, earthy aroma. It has a bit dry and earthy aftertaste that’s not for the fainthearted.

This rare Australian honey is somewhat sweet, dark caramel-like, with a robust punch. It’s one of the darkest honey and it has a strong flavor, looking and tasting nothing like common honey. 

BENEFITS: Buckwheat honey does contain more iron, magnesium, zinc, and copper than most honey varieties.

Dark honey like buckwheat and manuka have been scientifically shown to contain more antioxidants and macronutrients than lighter varieties.

    This product came beautifully packaged...the honey is magnificent, full bodied and felt nourishing to my toes, now my favourite 😋 The sample buckwheat cakes were a surprising delight...absolute fan.

    Love this honey. Knowing I have intolerances to quite a lot of things at the moment, it has been peace of mine knowing that the bees have been buzzing around buckwheat! It's a bit sad it is a limited addition. It's rather nice. :) It goes nicely on my buckwheat cakes , in my tea and cooking.

    Wanted to try it as we use a lot of honey and I purchase the buckwheat cakes all the time. It is really lovely. You don`t need as much as honey, and it tastes very earthy and rich. Easy to get used to and the flavour is wonderful. A great product, will be purchasing this again.
